CAD Bureau Southern have recently begun to produce Animated Renderings from 2D or 3D CAD drawings. Examples of animations that can be applied to drawings include: 

 

* Walkthrough of Buildings 

* Component of Assembly Drawings assembling/ dismantling 

* Rotating Items to show that item from every possible angle 

* Walk round of parts/ buildings 

* Animation of Moving Parts such as doors opening, fan blades rotating etc. 

 

Drawings can be animated in 2D, 3D Wireframe, 3D Shaded & 3D Rendered. Files can be saved in virtually all format types. 

 

By their nature, animated CAD drawings come with a high file size. Typically a very high resolution 3D Rendered file would be 2Mb/ sec of animation in size. Therefore a 10 second clip would be around 20Mb in size. Because of this we are not making these samples available for downloading, but we are currently working on a substantial amount of animations and low-res samples will follow shortly.
